Subject: OCTOBER VCP REPORT To: Division 18 1. Since my last report, Division 18 has increased its enrollment by about 5 additional new members. This brings the total up to 31 new members for the year. More to come. Flotilla 18-2 8 Flotilla 18-3 4 Flotilla 18-6 11 Flotilla 18-8 8 2. As was stated in a previous report, our supply of Ball Caps has been depleted. Our DCP has inquired about purchasing a new supply. At our meeting, we will discuss putting an order together with any suggestions the Board might have. 3. Risk Management has been added to our list of courses. Either TCT or RM may fill the requirements for Boat Crew, Watch Standing, and etc. The deadline has been moved to 12/31/2003. 4. The date for our TCT class stands at Saturday, 19 October 2002. We will use the facilities at Group Moriches @ 0800. It is an 8-hour class. Please, out of courtesy, if you can not make this class, please let me know so I may get an accurate list together. 5. Our Division COW is getting closer. The date has been set for Sunday, 8 December 2002 and will be held at the NCO club at the Air National Guard Base in Westhampton Beach. At our next Division meeting we will discuss, having one food dish coming from each flotilla. Additional information will be distributed along with formal invitations, prior to the next Division Meeting. 6. A proposal for amendment of the Standing Rules regarding additional Divisions Meeting(s) was approved at our last Division meeting. This proposal allows for 5 meetings instead of 4 meetings 7. The election results from our last District Meeting are as follows: Nick Kerigan has been elected to District Commodore, Charlie Sferra has been elected Vice Commodore, and Harvey Miller has been elected RCO GRU-MOR. 8. SO-VE has requested that you take advantage of the new database on the website that has been created. The website has a request form for boat owners desiring a VSC. This form will be forwarded to you through the web server while keeping your email address confidential.
