Subject: AUGUST VCP REPORT To: Division 18 (1SR) 1. I would like to congratulate Jerry Rappoport for his article re wrote for the East Hampton Independent and Suffolk Life. These articles resulted in a number of new members in most of our flotillas. 2. Overall Division 18 has increased its enrollment by about 22+ new members. As of this report, not all-new members have received official notification of their membership. 3. Division 18 has run out of Ball Caps. A proposal will be presented prior the our next meeting. The proposal will include prices, quantities and any other arrangement that might be needed. 4. TCT Training; The date for our next class is Saturday, 19 October 2002. We will use the facilities at Group Moriches @ 0900. It is an 8-hour class. Cornell Caterers will cater lunch. 5. The plans for the Division 18’s COW has been finalized. The date and place has been set for Sunday, 8 December 2002 and will be held at the NCO club at the Air National Guard Base in West Hampton Beach. More details will follow. 6. As mentioned in past reports, the Patriot Readiness form is requested by DIRAUX to be filled out by all members. This is an on going process. This will include all members joining us. If you have not filled it out, please do so. Those of you that have access to a computer can enter this information on line at 1SR’s website. LT Griffin, the Intelligence Officer at Group Moriches gave the presentation. A hand out was given to all, listing all we should be looking for while on patrol. 8. A proposal for amendment of the Standing Rules regarding additional Divisions Meeting(s) has been approved. As of year 2003 our division meetings will be held in January, April, June, August and October. 9.
